This event has previously been run twice a year across two locations, as in-person conferences taking place during September. The Battery Show North America in Michigan, USA, and The Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart, Germany.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions it was necessary to pivot to a 3 day Virtual Event combining both regions and shows. 

The event organiser Informa Markets contacted Stream7 to provide end-to-end production and broadcast services to aid in the transition from an in-person event to a virtual event offering.

The event was to be hosted on Networking App Swapcard. Due to our integration and long standing relationship with Swapcard and our broadcast quality production we were able to provide outstanding service for the duration of the 3 day event.

The Battery show consisted of Sponsored Webinar Sessions where attendees could watch daily 60 minute Lunch & Learns,  along with over 85 Keynote and Panel Discussions.

A good mixture of live sessions, recorded content, live panels and live Q&A sessions mixed live with additional graphics, sponsor segments and multiple custom branding opportunities ensured that the event was not only educational but also interesting, keeping viewers engaged for longer and receiving excellent feedback from delegates, speakers and sponsors alike.

There were over 152 speakers for the event from companies such as Ford Motors, Panasonic Corporation and Rolls-Royce Electrical. Our team checked and constantly monitored the quality of connectivity,  audio feeds, video feeds and many other aspects from each of the speakers before the show to ensure that everything was perfect during the broadcast.

Workflow

Even with the complexities of multiple time zones and the large number of presenters and sessions, the event ran smoothly.
Our processes and systems received praise from the high calibre of speakers. The event was also greatly received online and generated a huge buzz on social media.

Due to Covid-19, we had to quickly pivot from our cancelled live event to a 3-day virtual event with a complicated conference program made up of multiple tracks of paid and free content in a webinar format. From receiving a quote to the event production, Stream7 was extremely professional in their execution and flexible to last-minute requirements and budget.

During the ‘live’ virtual event, we were impressed with the tight coordination and easygoing manner from Darren and his team even when unexpected glitches happened. Coming from the largest tradeshow event organizer, we would definitely recommend Stream7 for any production needs and hope to work with Andy and Darren again.
