NAPLIC is an established national organisation of teachers, speech and language therapists and other professionals, who were due to hold their annual conference in Sheffield. With the Covid-19 virus looming it was clear that not all of the delegates would be able to attend so Stream7 were contacted to live stream the event.
As the impact of the Coronavirus worsened it was evident to NAPLIC that hosting a physical event was no longer possible and the event would have to become fully Virtual.
Stream7 worked with the NAPLIC event organisers to guide them through the process of converting a Physical Event into a Virtual Event. It was decided that an event consisting of both pre-recorded presentations along with live Q&A and panel discussions would be the best format.
Our team worked with the presenters to remotely film their presentations from their homes, which were then edited and uploaded to the Stream7 Gallery. Meanwhile our Event Video Platform was enabled and branded for the event, and our team provided test calls to remote presenters to ensure their connections and video equipment would work perfectly.
On event day our host from NAPLIC introduced the conference to the 150+ online delegates and the proceedings got underway. The pre-recorded content was played back from our Gallery interspersed with live Q&A from the live speakers using our Remote Presentation Technology.
We even created a ‘Virtual Exhibition’ over the lunch break, where sponsor videos and advertisements where shown allowing ROI for the sponsors.
Even with the complete change to virtual, the event was greatly received by the delegates and also by the organisers. We even received enquiries for our services from presenters and delegates attending the event!
As a small charity who run a face to face national conference we were blindsided when the COVID-19 travel restrictions struck. We thought that our conference was doomed, but thanks to the support from Stream7 and their guidance we were able to run a very successful online conference.
The team at Stream7 were amazingly responsive and led us step by step through the process. The feedback from our conference delegates has been extremely positive. We cannot rate Stream7 highly enough.
