When Kids Invent Stuff opened The Invention Shed at Gulliver’s Valley, they needed a dependable audiovisual installation to bring the exhibition to life. The attraction showcases real inventions built from children’s ideas, alongside video content explaining the stories behind them.
Stream7 was appointed to deliver the technical installation of the display screens, sound system and supporting infrastructure, creating a solution that would operate reliably every day with minimal intervention.
The new exhibition required a permanent AV installation that could play a mixture of Kids Invent Stuff YouTube videos and newly filmed content throughout the space. The system also needed to include a presentation screen within the classroom area, allowing workshops and educational sessions to take place with a simple, easy-to-use setup.
As the exhibition is largely self-guided, everything needed to be robust enough to withstand heavy daily footfall while remaining straightforward for staff to operate.
Pete Amos led the installation of all audiovisual equipment across the attraction.
In the classroom, we installed a 65-inch display with a simple control system to make presentations and workshops easy to run. Within the main exhibition, we installed a 55-inch display, four additional 22-inch screens and an integrated sound system.
Our team completed the full technical installation, including all cabling, media players, screen mounting, speaker installation, system configuration and testing. The displays were programmed to automatically power on, play content during opening hours and switch off at the end of each day.
The installation was completed successfully ahead of the attraction opening, providing Kids Invent Stuff with a reliable AV system that supports the visitor experience every day.
With automated playback, integrated audio and a dedicated classroom presentation system, the technology now quietly works in the background, allowing visitors to focus on exploring the incredible inventions on display.
