When global medical technology company InMode wanted to connect a live audience of surgeons with real-time surgical procedures taking place at one of London’s most prestigious medical clinics, they needed a production partner capable of delivering flawless, broadcast-quality communication between two locations.
Working across both the Langham Hotel and 101 Harley Street, Stream7 designed and delivered a fully integrated multi-site production that enabled surgeons in the conference room to interact live with surgeons performing procedures several miles away.
Using advanced NDI Bridge technology, broadcast production workflows and professional live streaming, we created an immersive educational experience where every attendee - both in person and online - could see, hear and engage with the procedures in real time.
The InMode IGNITE Masterclass is an exclusive educational event designed for surgeons specialising in face and body contouring. Bringing together leading clinicians from across the UK and internationally, the masterclass focuses on advanced techniques using InMode’s IgniteRF platform and QuantumRF technology, helping surgeons develop their knowledge of minimally invasive procedures for fat reduction, skin contraction and tissue rejuvenation.
Led by internationally recognised Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and experienced plastic surgeons, the event combines live surgical demonstrations, in-depth clinical presentations and interactive discussion, giving delegates the opportunity to learn directly from experts performing procedures in real time.
For the 2026 event, InMode wanted to take this experience a step further by connecting delegates attending the conference at the Langham Hotel with live procedures taking place simultaneously at 101 Harley Street.
Rather than simply broadcasting the surgeries, the objective was to create a fully interactive educational environment where surgeons could ask questions during procedures, discuss techniques as they happened and gain valuable insights from the clinicians performing them.
Alongside the in-person audience, the event was also live streamed to delegates joining remotely, ensuring surgeons from around the world could participate in the discussions and benefit from the same educational experience.
Delivering this level of interaction required robust broadcast infrastructure, reliable connectivity and meticulous technical planning - areas where Stream7’s experience in live medical event production proved invaluable.
Broadcasting a live surgical procedure is technically demanding under any circumstances.
Broadcasting between two separate venues whilst maintaining natural conversation, high-definition picture quality and virtually zero latency presents an even greater challenge.

All three audiences needed to feel like they were participating in the same event.
Any noticeable delay between locations would interrupt conversations and reduce the educational value of the demonstrations.
Alongside this, the production needed to deliver crystal-clear visuals, allowing delegates to observe procedures in exceptional detail whilst maintaining professional broadcast standards throughout the day.
The event also had to support live audience interaction, ensuring questions from both the conference floor and online delegates could be answered naturally by surgeons performing procedures in real time.
To achieve this, Stream7 designed a complete two-way production workflow built around NDI Bridge technology.
Unlike traditional one-way streaming solutions, NDI Bridge enabled us to transmit high-definition video and audio in both directions between the Langham Hotel and 101 Harley Street with virtually no noticeable latency.
This meant surgeons carrying out procedures could hear questions from the conference audience through discreet in-ear monitoring systems whilst continuing to operate.
At the same time, delegates at the hotel could see and hear every stage of each procedure, ask questions naturally and receive immediate responses.
The result was an experience that felt far more like being physically present inside the operating theatre than simply watching a live stream.

Each venue was equipped with its own dedicated broadcast production system.
At 101 Harley Street, multiple Panasonic PTZ cameras captured the procedures from carefully selected angles, ensuring delegates could clearly observe every stage of the surgery without interfering with the clinical environment.
Production within the procedure room was managed using a Vizrt TriCaster, allowing every camera feed to be switched and transmitted seamlessly to the conference venue.
Meanwhile, the Langham Hotel acted as the central production hub.
A second Vizrt TriCaster Vizion received the incoming surgical feeds before managing all content displayed throughout the conference. This included multiple projection screens and confidence monitors positioned around the venue, ensuring every delegate had an excellent view regardless of where they were seated.
Alongside the live surgical feeds, additional cameras within the conference room captured presenters, audience interaction and panel discussions. A Panasonic PTZ camera provided flexible coverage of the stage, while a manned Blackmagic URSA Broadcast camera captured dynamic shots throughout the event.

Every element was integrated into a single production workflow, allowing the audience at both venues and those joining remotely to experience the event as one connected production.
One of the most impressive aspects of the production was the level of interaction achieved.
Rather than delivering a passive live broadcast, the event encouraged continuous discussion throughout the procedures.
Surgeons performing the demonstrations wore discreet earpieces, allowing them to hear questions directly from delegates attending the conference at the Langham Hotel.
This enabled natural conversations between the operating theatre and the conference audience, with specialists discussing techniques, equipment and clinical decisions as procedures unfolded.
Online delegates were equally involved through Slido, allowing questions to be submitted remotely and incorporated naturally into the discussions.
This combination of two-way communication and audience interaction transformed the event from a simple live stream into a genuinely collaborative educational experience.
The IGNITE Masterclass centred around two live surgical procedures, showcasing InMode’s IgniteRF and QuantumRF technologies in a real clinical environment.
Rather than watching pre-recorded demonstrations, delegates experienced every stage of the procedures live, with expert clinicians explaining their techniques as they worked.
Thanks to the two-way communication between the operating theatre and conference venue, attendees were able to ask detailed clinical questions throughout the demonstrations and receive immediate responses from the surgeons.
Alongside the live procedures, delegates also benefited from educational presentations exploring treatment techniques, technology comparisons and clinical best practice, creating a comprehensive learning experience for surgeons looking to expand their expertise in face and body contouring procedures.

Many hybrid events rely on traditional streaming workflows that introduce noticeable delays between locations.
For keynote presentations this may be acceptable.
For live surgical education, where conversations need to happen naturally between clinicians in different locations, latency becomes a significant issue.
