About Project
Audience relay

The annual circuit service of the York Methodist chuch took place at the 1500 seat York Barbican. To ensure that everyone in the audience had a great view of the proceedings, Stream7 were asked to supply a live video relay and large screen to be suspended above the stage.

The screen would be used to show live camera feeds of the presenters, along with video clips and also hymn lyrics.

Solution
Broadcast quality production

The event was a perfect project for our Tricaster Mini which allowed the two cameras, along with video and graphics to be mixed together in a TV style broadcast.

Live talks were relayed to the 16ft wide large screen enabling the audience a perfect view, whilst video messages recorded by the Anglican Archbishop John Sentamu and the new President of the Methodist Conference, Revd Dr Roger Walton, were also played back from the Tricaster system.

Live music for the event was provided by a national choir OneSound, where our camera operators provided a range of exciting shots of the musicians and singers that were mixed together live, along with hymn lyrics, before being fed to the large screen.

Outcome
Great praise

The event was a great success, receiving good feedback from the client and the audience.  This proves that live cameras relayed to screens, are a valuable asset to live events, ensuring that everyone can see the action no matter the size of the venue.
