Stream7 were asked by our event production partner R&B Group to live stream the Royal College of Nursing Student Event in Edinburgh. As the budget for streaming was limited this was the ideal opportunity to deploy the LiveU solution.
LiveU allows the transmission of Live HD video over the internet. There was no wired internet connection in the venue but, as the unit uses a 4G mobile connection this was not a problem.
Stream7 supplied the LiveU unit to R&B Group who connected their camera and audio feed. The unit was then remotely monitored and configured from our Sheffield office.
The video and audio feed was sent over the internet to Sheffield where it was decoded and fed in to our Tricaster video production system. Here the stream was mixed with graphics and broadcast to the viewers via the Stream7 Event Video Platform.
By removing the expense of travel and accommodation, the LiveU system allows live streaming to be a cost effective addition to any event production.
