At Stream7, innovation and creativity are at the core of everything we do. We translate this passion into delivering exceptional live event broadcasting experiences, but our commitment extends beyond the industry. Recognising the importance of fostering future generations of creative minds, Stream7 is proud to announce The Work-wise Foundation as our official charity partner.
The Work-wise Foundation is a highly respected organisation based in South Yorkshire dedicated to igniting young people's enthusiasm for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) careers. Through innovative programs, they open doors and empower young people to discover their potential within these dynamic fields.
Active Collaboration: Going Beyond Sponsorship
We are incredibly proud of our partnership with The Work-wise Foundation which allows us actively participate in their initiatives. Stream7 is a proud Gold Sponsor of Get Up To Speed, a live, annual, one-day showcase event which aims to introduce, inform and inspire students, parents and teachers about the world of work in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing (STEM) sectors. It’s a superb, highly interactive careers showcase which, for over ten years, has promoted STEM-related career opportunities to over 44,000 young people, educators and families. Each event sees Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham filled with fun and interactive exhibits from both local and national employers, to showcase their businesses, their industries and their employment opportunties.
Not only do the visitors have access to a wonderful variety of exhibitors, they are also given complimentary access to the incredible Magna Science Adventure Centre which offers a range of interactive, educational zones within a converted steelworks.
Introducing GUTS TV: A Dedicated Platform for STEAM Inspiration
Stream7 is excited to announce the upcoming launch of GUTS TV. This innovative online platform, a collaborative effort between Stream7 and The Work-wise Foundation, will be dedicated to promoting STEAM careers to young audiences.
Using our expertise and services at their most recent event in March 2024 to build an event studio, we carried out several impactful interviews with other sponsors, exhibitors and industry professionals to showcase the variey of opportunities available to young people in the industry. It was key for us to speak with those both in the height of their career, and at the very start (e.g apprentices, graduates) to ensure the platform gives a rounded view of the careers that exist in the sector.
On the day, we also hosted students from The Sheffield College who assisted us on the production. This gave the students the opportunity to see first-hand what our industry looks like and hopefully left them feeling engaged and excited about their future prospects.
Empowering the Future Through Collaboration
Stream7 believes that collaboration with The Work-wise Foundation will create a significant impact on the lives of young people. By sparking their interest in STEAM, we empower them to explore new possibilities and pursue fulfilling careers that will shape the future.
