The annual circuit service of the York Methodist Church was enhanced this year by Stream7 who projected live cameras feeds, videos and graphics onto a large screen suspended at the rear of the York Barbican stage.
The event comprised of live talks by the Ex-President of the Methodist Conference, Rev. Steven Wild, and the new Vice President, Ms Rachel Lampard, parts of which were relayed to the large screen enabling the presenters to display items to the 900+ audience. There were also special video messages recorded by the Anglican Archbishop John Sentamu and the new President of the Methodist Conference, Revd Dr Roger Walton, as well as a video tour of the York circuit, all of which were run from Stream7’s TriCaster system.
Congregational worship was facilitated by projecting the hymn words onto the screen using Easy Worship which was fed from a PC linked to our Tricaster system.
Live music for the event was provided by a national choir OneSound (formally MAYC Orchestra and Singers), where our camera operators provided a range of exciting shots of the band and singers that were mixed together live, along with on-screen graphics, before being fed to the large screen.
This was the first time the York Circuit has used live video in its annual service and it was well received by both the client and the congregation. We hope to work with this group again in the future.
