IBC 2017

Stream7 head to Amsterdam to see the latest in broadcast technology.

The IBC exhibition covers fifteen halls across the RAI, hosting over 1,700 exhibitors showcasing all elements of broadcast technology. This was a great opportunity to experience (play with!) new equipment that we would like to add to our range of kit.

For us the highlight of the show, was the range of manufacturers adding NDI connectivity to their products. We were greatly impressed with the new PTZ (robotic) camera from Newtek along with the Panasonic equivalents.

Green screen technology was also at the forefront this year showing the power of virtual studios, which we believe could provide some exciting opportunities for Event Broadcasting from any location.

We also noticed some HD micro cameras; no bigger that a matchbox, that would be perfect for our live surgery medical projects.

The shear size of the exhibition was mind blowing, and caused some very sore feet, it’s just a shame we forgot our FitBits!
